Foundational teaching
Rebuild the core in physiology, pathology, pharmacology, microbiology, biochemistry, immunology, anatomy, and other high-yield subjects.
Personal USMLE tutoring
Individualized one-on-one USMLE tutoring, shaped entirely around you. Every session targets your weak points, your timeline, and the way you actually learn—so you build strong foundations, see the patterns, and make better decisions under pressure. Not a fixed curriculum.
Start with a personal conversation about your exam, timeline, and current challenges.

Foundations, reasoning, and question strategy.
Every lesson is shaped around your needs.
Personalized from the beginning
Every student gets the same individualized attention—sessions are built around your current level, your goals, your exam timeline, and the way you learn best. The point is not to memorize isolated facts. It is to build your foundations, understand how the exam thinks, and move through questions with confidence.
Rebuild the core in physiology, pathology, pharmacology, microbiology, biochemistry, immunology, anatomy, and other high-yield subjects.
Work through why the correct answer is right and why every distractor is wrong—the reasoning, not just the key.
Identify key clues, interpret labs, recognize illness scripts, and learn to spot the common traps the exam writes in.
The Batista method
Every class is tailored to the student. We can rebuild foundational medicine, review missed questions, deepen a weak topic, or sharpen exam strategy. The lesson changes with you, not the other way around.
Build the physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and core mechanisms that every strong exam decision depends on.
Learn why the right answer is right, why each distractor is wrong, and which clues should control your decision.
Focus each session on the systems, concepts, and testing habits that will make the greatest difference for you.
What working together looks like
Send your current scores, weak areas, and exam timeline. No commitment—just the starting point. Everything you share stays confidential.
I map your weak systems and design each session around the topics that will move your score most—not a fixed syllabus.
Live one-on-one sessions combine foundational teaching, question-based review, clinical reasoning, and focused practice until the material becomes reflex.

Meet your tutor
I'm Dr. Batista. Every session is taught by me personally—no handoffs, no rotating tutors. Over more than seven years, I have developed a high-yield, exam-focused teaching method that I tailor to every student I work with.
My focus is simple: teach you how the exam actually thinks—how diseases present, how answer choices are written, and how to move through questions with confidence. We identify what is holding your score back, build your foundation, and practice until the reasoning becomes automatic.
Beyond one-on-one tutoring, I teach full classes and lectures that work through the foundations from the ground up—physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and the core mechanisms every Step question is built on. Whether you need structured foundational teaching or focused work on specific weak points, the teaching is tailored to you.
